View Project
Cracked refractory panels replaced with a correctly sized set, restoring the firebox lining that protects the surrounding structure from heat.
View Project
A failed crown removed and rebuilt with the slope and overhang needed to carry water clear of the brick instead of down the face of it.
View Project
A full crown rebuild on a prefab chase, sealed at the flue tile so the joint stays watertight through the DFW freeze and thaw cycle.
View Project
Chimney repair
Masonry repair addressing the damage that DFW hail and wet to dry cycling leave behind, from open mortar joints to separated brick faces.
View Project
Chimney repair
Firebox and structural repair carried out so the system can be brought back into service safely rather than patched at the surface.
View Project
A full height split down the corner joint and a horizontal crack across the back wall, with heat staining on the lower courses. The failed panels were replaced with a new set and the screen curtains refitted.
View Project
Cracking through the firebox back wall and an open crack running through the corner masonry. The walls and floor were cleaned back and resurfaced with a parge coat to seal the joints.
View Project
Split corner trim at the base of the chase and paint failing across the siding and shroud. The damaged trim was replaced, the chase repainted, and the shroud refinished to match.
View Project
Mortar joints eroded through the lower courses and an open joint at the damper throat. The firebox was cleaned back and resurfaced with a parge coat, scored to keep the original brick coursing.
View Project
A crown that had been patched with a wash coat and cracked through again, leaving the flue open to the weather. A full width metal cap was fitted over the crown with mesh screening and a drip edge to carry water clear of the brick.
View Project
A failed crown broken out and rebuilt as a new sloped crown with an overhang, sealed at the flue so rain sheds off the top instead of soaking into the brick below.
View Project
A brick chimney taken down past the failed courses and rebuilt with new brick and fresh mortar joints, then topped with a new crown to keep water out of the rebuilt masonry.
View Project
Damaged masonry cleaned back to sound material and the open joints and cracks rebuilt with fresh mortar, fixing the damage while it was still a repair and not a rebuild.
